Join us for a full day at Walt Disney World as we explore Disney’s Animal Kingdom with our neurodiverse family — sharing honest autism-friendly tips, accessibility insights and real experiences along the way. We begin our morning at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, giving you a mini room tour of our Jamaica 4461 location. If you're researching the best room locations at Caribbean Beach, we show proximity to the Skyliner, Jamaica bus stop, quiet pool, Old Port Royale and the refillable drinks station — perfect for families planning their Disney resort stay. After driving to Animal Kingdom (yes, we show the parking tram experience too!), the magic begins. Our autistic son has a beautiful, spontaneous interaction with one of the Magical Menagerie puppets, reminding us why we love Disney so much. These sensory-friendly surprise moments are what make Disney special for neurodiverse children. We share a hilarious but important stroller tip after catching a squirrel stealing snacks — a must-know warning for families bringing pushchairs to Disney parks! Next, we head to Kilimanjaro Safaris where we show the accessibility entrance process for wheelchairs and mobility aids. If you are travelling to Disney with autism, sensory needs or additional accessibility requirements, this section will help you understand what to expect when parking mobility aids before boarding. One of the highlights of our day? FRONT ROW seats in the accessibility section for Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond!. We give a full review of whether this show is autism-friendly, discuss sound levels, lighting, crowd density, and how our son responded to the experience. If you are searching “Is Finding Nemo musical good for autistic children?” — we cover it honestly. We also share a fun pin unboxing featuring mystery blind bags and the Zootopia collection. As we leave Animal Kingdom, the Florida weather has other plans… torrential rain hits and we navigate overcrowded Disney bus transportation heading toward Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. We review 1900 Park Fare character dining in detail — including buffet options, dessert selection, atmosphere and whether it is suitable for autistic or sensory-sensitive children. Character meet and greets include Tiana (in her Bayou Adventure outfit), Cinderella, Aladdin and Snow White — and we explain why Mirabel was missing during our visit. We finish the evening touring the stunning Grand Floridian resort exterior before hopping into a Minnie Van (Disney’s private transportation option) back to our hotel during a dramatic Florida thunderstorm. Throughout this vlog, I share my top tips for visiting Disney World with an autistic child and travelling as a neurodiverse family. I’ve been visiting Walt Disney World for over 30 years and now use that experience to support families navigating Disney with additional needs.
