A woman and her son from Pandav Nagar were detained by the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Monday for allegedly killing her husband and slicing his body into 10 pieces. According to reports, the incident happened in June. In Pandav Nagar, local police discovered a severed head and some other body parts, but the body could not be identified at the time. The police were cited as stating that the suspects Poonam and Deepak kept the victim Anjan Das' body parts in a refrigerator and would dispose of them at various locations in east Delhi. DCP Crime, Amit Goel of the Delhi Police said, "On May 30, the mother-son duo made deceased Anjan drink liquor mixed with sleeping pills. Follow which, they slit his throat and left the body at home for a day for the blood to drain out completely. They then chopped the body in 10 pieces. So far, the police has recovered six pieces.” This comes just days after Aaftab Poonawala is accused of killing Shraddha Walkar, his live-in partner, and sawing her body into 35 pieces, which he then allegedly kept in a 300-liter refrigerator for about three weeks at his home in Mehrauli, south Delhi. #DelhiPolice #CrimeBranch #PandavNagar Times Now - Times Now News channel examines news with in-depth analysis.
