Join us for a +Cancer Research UK and +Science on Google+ Hangout on Air as we speak to Professor +Pamela Kearns and Professor +Richard Gilbertson about childhood cancers. Pam is a Professor of Clinical Paediatric Oncology at the University of Birmingham. She is also the Director of the Cancer research UK Clinical Trials Unit, which is one of the largest cancer trials units in the UK. Her research focuses on the development of new therapies for childhood leukaemias. Richard is a world renowned expert in childhood brain tumours, and is the new director of the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. He has led international efforts that have dramatically advanced our understanding of the biology of several common childhood brain tumours. This HOA will be hosted by Dr +Buddhini Samarasinghe and Dr +Kat Arney You can tune in on Wednesday September 23rd at 4 PM UK time.
