Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) - May 2005 Beta Space

Recently released on Hidden Palace, this beta gives unique insight into an early development period for Pandemic's Star Wars Battlefront 2. Lots of content is in an intermediary state between SWBF1 and SWBF2, lots of elements of the new game are in flux, and the build is quite unstable in places. However, it provides unique content, such as Objective Mode, Team Deathmatch, Order 66 Team Deathmatch, cut Campaign Objectives, different map layouts, placeholder VO, and more. In this video, a look is taken at the Space GCW mission - it seems to be an earlier version of Space Tatooine with moving Victory II and Corellian frigates, as well as different interiors, critical systems, unit classes, and the cut Sentinel Landing Craft. Weapons for the flyers are also different. Attempting to launch Space Coruscant after this crashed the game, unfortunately. Space GCW is certainly worth recovering, however, if only for the unique interiors and moving frigates.
