What helps someone grow in confidence as a Solution Focus (SF) trainer? What encourages them to take that next step on their personal SF journey? Imagine how powerful it would be if more people felt ready to train others—making the use of SF even more widespread and accessible. Drawing on our experience designing and running train-the-trainer programmes, we’ve made some important discoveries. It turns out that confidence-building is less about teaching specific techniques and more about creating a supportive environment—one where people feel safe to experiment, encouraged to trust their own skills (just enough), and connected to a community of peers. We’ve also deepened our understanding by designing learning that works on multiple levels—intellectually, practically, and experientially.
