In today’s video, I’m excited to share the build of a 1/6 scale figure that I really enjoy, the Green Beret. Hot Toys originally released this figure back in 2004, but this time I decided to mix things up a bit by using the body and head from their Thor figure. I made a few tweaks to the gear, like the groin protector on the ballistic vest, among other details. To pull this off, I had to record a lot of the customization process. It took around 40 hours total to film everything step-by-step! So today, I’m bringing you Part One of the video. The second (and final) part, with the completed figure, is coming soon. Hope you enjoy it, and see you in the next one! 🪖 In the early stages of the War in Afghanistan, shortly after 9/11, U.S. Army Special Forces, known as the Green Berets, played a crucial role. In 2002, these elite soldiers were among the first to be deployed, working closely with local Afghan forces to dismantle Taliban strongholds and hunt down Al-Qaeda operatives. Operating in small teams, they used their expertise in unconventional warfare, language skills, and cultural understanding to navigate the complex terrain, both literal and political, of the region.
