Took a day trip to Circle City, Alaska driving on the Steese Highway. Steese Highway starts out as a very nicely paved highway but around mile 75 or so, pavement ends. The dirt road is pretty well packed and smooth and so I did not have the need to air down my tires. Circle, ALaska is a remote fishing and hunting destination. It was named Circle because the folks who went there first, thought they had reach the Arctic Circle, but in fact the Arctic Circle is about 50 or so miles north of this remote village. ...
