Angels Rest: Appalachian Trail Hiking near Pearisburg, Giles County, Virginia

Pearis Mountain towers over the town of Pearisburg, Giles County, Virginia. The Appalachian Trail passes over the mountain. In this video Smell N Roses hiked up the mountain via the AT from VA State Road 634 outside of Pearishburg up the very steep slopes of the mountain to Angels Rest, a large series of Rocks near the top of the mountain. From Angels Rest you can observe excellent views of the New River and the town of Pearisburg. You can also get great views of the surrounding mountains and see into West Virginia. Continueing southbond along the Appalachian Trail from Angels Rest, there are several additional rock outcrops with great views of Wilburn Valley, Walker and Brushy Mountains and beyond. The hike up to Angels Rest is extremely strenuous but well worth the effort for those capable of making the hike. Thanks for watching the video!
