August Garden Update

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay on getting out a new video. Cody and I have been super busy between work, the garden and summer activities. Our August update gives a little tour of the state of the garden at this point in the season. We only have about 5ish weeks left before the change in seasons. As you can see we have hit peak harvest time. Every day we are bringing in a basket full of fresh veggies. Our sweet pumpkins have started to turn orange and our winter squash is almost ready to harvest. We have pulled out onions and have them laid out to dry. For the most they turned out great. We have a few ideas to help improve the sizes for next year but for the first year of the garden we will take it! We dumped out our first bag of potatoes and got a decent harvest. We are going to let the others go a little longer to see if we get better yields. We are hoping to put out at least a few more videos before the season is over. We also included some of our canning process and we hope to have a few videos on that coming out as well. To date we have canned pickles, pepperoncini's, green beans, pasta sauce, and salasa.
