First of several routes filmed in the Dolomite Alps, in northern Italy. This is a circular route that takes us from the Giau Pass to the five towers of Cinque Torri. The tour continues along a route that goes around this rock formation passing by constructions and trenches of the First World War and the refuge of the same name. It is hard to believe that these landscapes were the scene of war...but they were. In this section there are panels that explain those events. The return in this case I went through the Averau refuge to get back to the Giau Pass. In total about 10km with 700m of elevation gain. Many people access the Cinque Torri area with the Bai de Dones cable car, so there are quite a lot of tourists in the area.
