First video of the new year and I'm back at Liverpool of all places. I recently purchased a new camera, a Sony DSC HX400V - Really happy with it so far. Through nobody's fault but my own, I failed to ensure that I had correctly set it up, hence the lower frame rate on this video. Don't worry, the next ones will be smoother! Very cold morning at LPL this morning with temperatures hanging around freezing. Following a de-icing, EI-EVR taxiied out to 27 for its departure to Pafos. As per operating procedure, the aircraft taxiied with the flaps fully retracted before coming to a stop at A1, setting flaps 5 and then proceeding to depart with a cloud of spray and de-icing fluid. The reason for this action, is to prevent the flaps from accumulating any ice between the time of de-icing and takeoff. Always cool to see!
