This video is all about how I put together "Manta on the Mountain" – a very short film that I've been working on for some time. Watch that first, and this will all make sense: • 1973 Opel Manta A in "Manta On The Mountai... Putting together this short was quite a challenge. It involved 8 different trips up the mountain, a couple of audio recording sessions, some friends to help out, and a bunch of editing. But it represents sort of the "ultimate" use case for my car audio recording techniques that I've gone over in previous videos. In this behind-the-scenes video I talk about what went into "Manta on the Mountain" in terms of gathering all the shots and recording audio, and how I dealt with the sound in post. I wanted each different camera angle to have its own unique "sound perspective" and for the whole thing to feel like a natural, continuous sequence. For the drone shots, I had to pull audio from previous footage and make it sound far away, which was an interesting challenge.
