Song: Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd So this is more than double the length of any other MAD I've made, but I was committed to using the whole song, so here we are. If it's not obvious, I happened to watch Kingsman for the first time during my break, and anyone who has seen it knows exactly how that's related. Seeing how that 5 minute guitar solo worked with that action scene, I immediately wanted to use it for something. Free Bird is very much a song of 2 halves, with one being relatively chill and the other being a non-stop ballistic guitar solo. I figured Norio Matsumoto's career reflected this pretty well, considering his tendency to do subdued character acting scenes next to some of the most iconic and influential action sequences ever drawn. Matsumoto's work on episodes such as Naruto episode 30 and 133 inspired an entire generation of animators, some of which have become anime industry legends themselves.
