At this Director’s Lecture, political theorist Lea Ypi will read and discuss a chapter from her forthcoming book on dignity. Ypi will look at her Albanian family’s history to explore the moral and political meanings of dignity (both individual and collective) in connection to questions of truth, reconciliation, historical injustice, and the relationship between facts and fiction. About the Speaker Lea Ypi, Professor of Political Theory in the Government Department at the London School of Economics, is the author of Free: Coming of Age at the End of History (Penguin, 2021) and The Architectonic of Reason (Oxford University Press, 2021).
