Medical evaluations, behavioral reports, and the dismissal of Tup's death all feel coordinated. He tells Rex that Tup's actions were caused by an inhibitor chip and that every clone likely carries one, engineered as a weapon awaiting activation. He explains that the chips contain a contingency order to execute the Jedi upon receiving a signal, meaning the entire clone army is designed for betrayal. Rex recognizes that this is the conclusion of a soldier who uncovered a classified truth. But he is still in doubt and decides to tell someone. Later, Rex accesses a secure civilian communication relay hidden in Coruscant's lower levels. Alone, he reviews the past days...suppressed investigations and Kaminoan interference...before sending a priority encrypted message to Ahsoka, choosing to expose the conspiracy and set irreversible events in motion. Static crackles through the comm before a familiar voice responds. Ahsoka (cautious): "Rex? You're using an unsecured channel. This is dangerous." Rex (urgent): "Had to risk it. Something's wrong, Commander. Something big. Can't say more over open comm, but... Fives is in danger. Real danger." Ahsoka (alert): "Fives?" Rex (struggling): "He found something. About Tup. About all of us. The brass are calling him unstable, but I know my men. Fives isn't crazy, he's scared. And when Fives gets scared about something..." Ahsoka (understanding): "Where is he now?" Rex (checking his chronometer): "Chancellor's office. They're calling it a debriefing, but Fox has orders to... Commander, if you still care about the men who served with you..." Ahsoka (firm): "Send me the coordinates. I'm coming." Rex (relieved): "Thank you, Commander. Rex out." As the transmission ends, Rex stares at the dark walls around him. Time passes, and the situation escalates quickly The snap-hiss of igniting lightsabers cuts through the tension. Blue plasma bathes the warehouse in cold light as Ahsoka drops from the skylights, her twin sabers intercepting Fox's shot in a shower of sparks. Anakin (shocked): "Ahsoka?!" Fox spins, blaster tracking toward the new threat, but Ahsoka's blade is already at his throat. Ahsoka (commanding): "Stand down, Commander." Fox (confused, lowering weapon): "You’re making a big mistake." Ahsoka (ignoring him, to Fives): "Fives, you alright?" Fives (stunned): "Ahsoka? How…who told you? " Ahsoka (urgent): "We’ll discuss it later. We need to get you out of here first. Move. Now." She tosses a smoke grenade. The warehouse fills with thick gray vapor. Through the chaos, Anakin hears the whine of jetpacks and the crash of breaking transparisteel. The deflected blaster bolt has damaged the ray shield containing Anakin and Rex, creating electrical sparks and confusion. Through the chaos, Rex follows Ahsoka and Fives toward the broken transparisteel. Anakin, blinded by smoke and electrical interference, doesn't notice Rex escaping with them until it's too late. Anakin (shouting through smoke): "Ahsoka! Don't do this!" When the smoke clears, Ahsoka, Rex and Fives are gone. Only blast marks on the wall remain where Fox's shot struck durasteel instead of flesh. Fox (frustrated): "Should I pursue, General?" Anakin (quietly): "No. Let them go…Where’s Rex?" Fox: “He was with you…sir.” Hours later, on Ahsoka's ship hidden in an abandoned shipyard, tension crackles between former master and former apprentice. The secure channel flickers with interference, but their words carry clearly. Anakin (angry): "Do you have any idea what you've done? Fox had direct orders from the Chancellor!" Ahsoka (calm): "To execute a clone trooper without trial? Since when do we follow orders like that?" Anakin (frustrated): "Since that clone trooper tried to assassinate the Chancellor! Fives is unstable, Ahsoka. He's been acting erratically for days." Ahsoka (sharp): "Have you listened to what he actually discovered?" Behind Ahsoka, Fives sits hunched over a datapad, Rex beside him with his helmet off. The weight of exhaustion and fear shows in both their faces. Rex (stepping into view): "General, sir.
