Testing horde base designs using 64 zombie hordes and gamestage 720, I use semi-spheres to trick the zombies into thinking they can path to me while the actually fall through. (as shown originally by Primate in this video: • 7 Days to Die (Alpha 19) - AFK Horde ... ) This base is NOT 100% afk-able, as zombies can still make the jump or otherwise stand on each others heads to get into the players area. The area must remain open so that the zombies can path, resulting in vultures and cops being able to get you. This base was tested multiple times, each time taking a sever beating while also keeping the player as safe as possible. Even as parts of the base fail, the rest holds up until morning. This base was tested at 720 Gamestage with 64 zombies. Gamestage maxes out at 720 on singleplayer due to the calculating days maxing out at the players current level. HOWEVER in multiplayer, gamestage is calculated differently to account for other players nearby and can reach into the thousands. Due to the state of the base at the end of each horde night, I wouldn't recommend using the base in multiplayer given the potential raised difficulty.
