Visiting all places and buildings of PARSBERG + and a short trip to Vellburg castle. (Germany)

Welcome back. The region between Regensburg and Nuremberg also known as the low mountain range called Franconian Alb is known for small towns, outlook places and ruined castles. Personally I´m a fan of this region and for this video I thought Parsberg have to be turn for a trip connected with a short brief to Vellburg castle. Find out in my video what is like to explore Parsberg and a hiking tour to a place which is for many centuries a lost place. Parsberg: On a sunny day at the begin of June 2025 I visited the town Parsberg. I knew Parsberg from my way between Regensburg and Nuremberg. At first I visited the castle where I've been alown at the whole patio. At next I made a short brief to the park where I found some Art in stone figures. The Saint Andreas Church was small and in barroc architectur and loceated under the castle. I was shocked as I came to the market place because the whole place looks like a battle field. Nice to see also was the shopping street in front of the market place. Vellburg castle: In the second part I made a hiking tour at Vellburg to its ruined castle loceated at the summit of a hill. I could park my car at the bottom of the hill and had a time of 30 minutes to the old ruined. There I could enjoy a view to the hills of the Franconian Alb, to Neumarkt town and the region. I planed to come back to Vellburg to make a video about this village, the cave of Otto and for a full review of the ruined castle where I've been in this video. About Parsberg: The town is loceated at the center of the Franconian Alb and exactly between Neumarkt town and Regensburg. Parsberg is good to arrive via the Highway A3 and the railway route Nuremberg, Regensburg, Passau. The landmark for the town is the castle with its two towers in barroc architectur. The small market place, the green city park and some streets makes Parsberg to a nice town to see and in particular during a journey to Passau and Austria. Vellburg and its ruined castle. The ruined castle is loceated on a hill 621,5 meters over the sea level. The first dokumets came from the year 1129. According to the old walls its only can be a late romosquere building. In the coming centuries like at 1450 the castle changed more times the owner and came in the administration of Vellburg town. The community use some stones for the restauration of the church and some buildings. In 2003 the castle was restored to todays form and is easy to visit from the town Vellburg.
