Traditionally most of us use either automated I & A , or Simcoe canula to decompress the capsular bag to decompress the capsular bag after performing the initial primary rhexis. In this video i am demonstrating the technique of performing the decompression of the bag using the phaco tip itself but in cortex aspiration mode. The wider bore of the phaco tip is more efficient and the process becomes much more faster and safer. Once the swollen cortex is removed from both the front and behind the nucleus the secondary larger rhexis is created .
