Ruthlessness (Epic: The Musical) | An Arcane AMV

I decided to try my hand at associating a song from Epic: The Musical with Caitlyn Kiramman from this newest season of Arcane! I've seen a lot of people make these edits, but never seen one with this particular song. I will be honest: Caitlyn wasn't my favorite during season 2. She made some choices that I definitely don't agree with, but find fascinating on a character level. She's an incredibly rich character when it comes to how complex she is. I've seen a lot of people in the fandom, not all but some, dismiss her character entirely just because of some actions she took. Although I agree with them, I don't agree with how upset everyone's getting. Caitlyn is a fictional character. Runeterra, Piltover, Zaun, they're all fictional places. It is completely fine to analyze text and find comparisons to real world events within fiction; I don't think we should be criticizing characters as if they're real people. And we definitely shouldn't be criticizing people who like characters like this. I don't entirely agree with things that Caitlyn did. But that's what draws me to her. The mentality that she had, clearly spurred on by the manipulation that Ambessa was putting her under; You can tell that even though Cait is in a place of power, Ambessa is still the one calling the shots. It's why Cait losing an eye was so, so important; Why it was foreshadowed. That accident was literally the result of that power imbalance... Caitlyn is complex. And that's why I love her.
