Trinidad La Trova - Cigaro Review

Wenn schonmal am Tag deiner 46. Sonnenumrundung, ausnahmsweise tolles Wetter am Start ist, dann kannste dir auch mal was besonderes gönnen, dachte ich mir. Die Trinidad La Trova schlummerte seit Ostern 2021 in meinem Humidor. Glas Schampus, später gab es noch einen St. Magdalener Classico dazu. (Hat beides gut gepasst) Los geht's! Zunächst nimmt man Zedernholz wahr, Nussigkeit und leichte Ledrigkeit gesellt sich hinzu. Die Aromatik entwickelt sich und spätestens ab dem zweiten Drittel, hat man dann oft das Gefühl, es würde einem ein Engel auf die Zunge lullen. Sehr ausgewogen und cremig mit Noten von Kakao, ganz feiner Süße, Erde, Leder, Röstaromen. Alles wie gesagt wohl austariert. Verarbeitung, Zug und Abbrand perfekt. Einzig bei der vielleicht etwas schneller als erwartet fallenden Asche, hätte ich meckern können. Diese Zigarre hat aber einfach 100 Punkte verdient. Habe ich schonmal was besseres geraucht? Nein! Es gibt aber Zigarren, die mich ähnlich beeindruckt haben obwohl sie natürlich wieder was anderes sind, wie bspw. eine Hoyo Epicure Deluxe, oder die geschätzte Romeo Churchill, die ich mir immer an Silvester gönne. Aktueller Marktpreis: 80 Euro. So viel wurde für die Zigarre damals nicht bezahlt. Mir wurde sie sogar geschenkt. Soll man soviel dafür bezahlen? Eigentlich natürlich nicht. Aber nehmen wir mal an in der Zigarre steckt ne Stunde Arbeit und alle daran Beteiligten bekämen entsprechend ihres Einsatzes was von den 80 Euro, die ein gängiger Stundensatz für Software-Entwickler sind (natürlich nicht netto). Also eine Stunde, vielleicht sogar mehr, würd ich mich dann schon durch den übelsten Legacy Code wühlen, um nochmal in den Genuss zu kommen, aber nur wenn die, die tatsächlich Arbeit in die Zigarre gesteckt haben, das Geld bekämen. The aroma develops and at least from the second third, you often have the feeling that an angel is peeing on your tongue. Very balanced and creamy with notes of cocoa, very fine sweetness, earth, leather, roasted aromas. Everything as said well balanced. The finish, draw and burn are perfect. The only complaint I could have was the ash, which perhaps falls a little faster than expected. But this cigar simply deserves 100 points. Have I ever smoked anything better? No! But there are cigars that have impressed me in a similar way, although they are of course something else, such as a Hoyo Epicure Deluxe, or the cherished Romeo Churchill, which I always treat myself to on New Year's Eve. Current market price: 80 euros. I didn't pay that much for the cigar back then. It was even given to me as a gift. Should you pay that much for it? Not really, of course. But let's assume that an hour's work went into the cigar and that all those involved in the process would get their share of the 80 euros, which is a common hourly rate for software developers (not net, of course). So I would spend an hour, maybe even more, digging through the worst legacy code to enjoy it again, but only if those who actually put work into the cigar got the money. One love?
