Taken from the livestream. In April 2025, thirteen high school organizations traveled to Sugarcreek, Ohio, for the Legacy Choir Festival. After each choir sang two selections, they joined together to form a 230 voice mass choir. The program focused on family relationships, belonging, regret, and reconciliation. The set included As I Went Down to the River to Pray (Sisters, Brothers, Fathers, Mothers, Sinners, audience members stood when they fit in the category in the verse) David’s Lamentation, and Cat’s in the Cradle. During Calling My Children Home, audience members sent messages to someone with whom a relationship had grown distant, lighting the auditorium with phone flashlights as symbols of renewed connection.
