Concertos for 40 Unusual Instruments

Following the first video on my favorite concertos for more traditional orchestral instruments, here’s a video featuring concertos written for rarer or more unusual ones. This is a more open-ended list, meant to introduce you to lesser-known repertoire rather than provide a definitive selection. Some contemporary pieces may deviate from the classical form of the concerto, even while claiming the name. Of course, the list is not exhaustive — humans have created an incredible variety of instruments throughout history. In some cases I couldn’t find recordings with decent video or audio quality, so a few instruments couldn’t be included. I hope you’ll understand.
