NOTE As per other users having installed the headlight grill, there have been a few that did not have to completely remove the headlight to install the grill cover. Via +aJino-Moto-V in the comments below, he commented "If you look at the black cover top part of the headlight there's a plastic tab that you can pry out with a flat head and the nut should be there to loosen the headlight. once that's out and the headlight drops down and the silver ring removed it's not possible to directly slip it on. For some reason though I remembered a math problem or some kind of magic ring brain teaser that if you tilt a circle, the middle should have a wider diameter. still not sure how that works but yea if you tilt it side ways it should slip on just right. then I positioned the grill part vertically and twisted the back ring to tighten to avoid scratching the headlights." SO, if you don't NEED to remove your headlight as you're just installing the grill piece, you might want to try his method beforehand to save you some time. Thanks aJino-Moto-V! ________ I recently had to remove my headlight in order to install a 'headlight grill' piece, so I thought, "Hey, why not record this in case anyone else is curious about how to remove their headlight." Ye, and so it was #Blockhead3:16 You might be curious on how to remove your headlight for a number of reasons, from replacing the bulb, to swapping it out for a daymaker, adding a grill like I did, or just removing the brow! There are different ways of going about uninstalling the headlight. If you have a tool small enough to take the bolts out without loosening the handlebars, more power to you! Unfortunately, I did not. I've also seen previously where people only undo the front gas tank bolt and raise the tank up to get to the wiring harness without undoing the back. I went ahead and undid both and pushed it up and back a little to allow for a little more freedom (and in the process, learned how to move the gas tank!)
