This video is a more relaxed, unscripted update compared to some of the others. Due to time constraints, there are a few things that don’t get shown or fully explored — and the next couple of videos are in the same boat and a bit behind schedule. This one is very much about small progress, loose ends, and keeping things moving. I start by briefly showing some equipment rescued from work that was about to be thrown out, but only touch on it before moving on. From there, it’s time for the first mail time, opening up some AliExpress packages with parts for a possible future project that I don’t fully commit to yet. One of the items is a small solar panel intended for a cheap IP camera. Sticking with that theme, I set it up outside to see if it can power an old phone that’s acting as an IP camera. The test doesn’t quite go to plan — the app crashes and the phone eventually runs flat — but it’s a useful real-world experiment and takes up a chunk of the video. Still on the subject of batteries, I then pull some old batteries out of a modified mobility scooter that’s been partially stripped in preparation for a future project (the same one hinted at earlier). I remove the batteries and put them on a repair charge, briefly explaining why in the video. After that… another mail time — because who doesn’t like mail time — with more parts arriving for that same project, even though it’s still not clear when I’ll actually start it. To finish things off, the last few minutes are a riding montage on my electric GTR Evolve skateboard. I explore a newly developing area of town that I came across in a previous video, stop to check out what’s up a random hill (which turns out to be a big empty field), and then roll out the rest of the video cruising through the area. This is definitely a simpler, lower-pressure video — more of a casual update than a focused build or deep dive. This isn’t professional advice, just real projects, experiments, and learning as I go. 🔧 In this video: • Brief look at salvaged equipment • AliExpress mail time (multiple rounds) • Discussing parts for a future project • Testing a small solar panel with an old phone IP camera • Charging and recovering old mobility scooter batteries • Electric skateboard riding montage • Exploring a developing area of town If you enjoy relaxed project updates, small experiments, mail time, or electric rideables, feel free to like, comment, or subscribe.
