Moist from ripe bananas, naturally sweet with apples, and finished with the crunch of walnuts — it’s the kind of dessert that feels both rustic and elegant. Perfect for any time of the day, from breakfast to after dinner with a coffee. Ingredients: • 3 eggs • 2 apples • 2 bananas • 200g flour • 150g sugar • 100g walnuts • 1 pinch salt • 1 packet baking powder (15g) • A few drops of vanilla extract Instructions: In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale, light, and fluffy (about 10 minutes). In a separate bowl, mash the bananas with vanilla until smooth. Fold this mixture into the eggs. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into the bowl, then gently whisk until fully incorporated. Butter and flour a 20cm cake tin, pour in the batter, and level it out. Peel the apples, remove the cores, and slice thinly. Arrange the slices neatly on top of the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy.
