UNLEASHED | Stage 4 - Molly big wave Freestyle

UNLEASHED. Stage 4 | Big trick contest. The last event of UNLEASHED brought us to the infamous Molly wave in northern Quebec. The window of opportunity for this wave is really narrow, especially as it is rising. Somehow we managed to catch the wave at it's prime and where able to hold the first ever competition on this gentle giant. Despite the friendly nature of this wave, competitors where still faced with adversity in the form of huge ice bergs and other debris floating down the river. Thanks to a team of spotters on the bridge we where able to avoid any serious collisions but there where still a few close calls. Competitors were split into two heats, each of which where allotted one hour to surf. The rules for this stage were simple, go big! The three biggest or most complex tricks that a rider threw would be added together to give them their overall result for this stage. Some of the most ridiculous and biggest tricks ever landed in a kayak were showcased during this stage. Sit back and enjoy the the last stage-edit from the first ever UNLEASHED competition!
