Zangon Kataf LGA Witnessed the Commissioning of the Madauchi-Madakiya-Kafanchan Road.

The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, today, Wednesday the 04/02/2026, commissioned the 23-kilometres Madakiya–Madauchi–Kafanchan Road in Zango Kataf Local Government Area, marking a significant milestone in infrastructural development in Southern Kaduna. The commissioning ceremony was attended by the son of the soil and Distinguished Senator representing Kaduna South, Barrister Sunday Marshall Katung, alongside the Chief Host, Chief Ambassador Bege Joseph Gaiya, MNSE, MNSME. Also present were other legislators, senior government officials, and key stakeholders from across Southern Kaduna, underscoring the collective commitment to sustainable development in the region. The newly commissioned road is of strategic importance, as it links Madauchi, Wadon, Madakiya, and several hinterland communities, thereby opening up more access to economic opportunities across the area. The project is expected to ease movement, significantly reduce travel time, and stimulate economic and social activities, with particular benefits for rural dwellers, farmers, traders, and commuters. Stakeholders at the event commended the administration of Governor Uba Sani CON for prioritising people-centred infrastructures that directly impacts livelihoods.
