FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING Sunsoft left the Neo-Geo to make their next fighting game on Sega's ST-V Titan hardware. Everybody floats in this game and so you're not just allowed to jump up, but descend down to avoid attacks. A lot of characters have normal moves that are based around hitting in one of those directions. Does it work out? Ehh I dunno, I've never really gotten into this one. Stella's a good character design though. The entire run was spent abusing Stella's dash attack with button 4 as it's a canned 3-hit string that launches on hit, and causes a guard break on block. After the mirror match on stage 8 you go to a single-round "bonus stage" against Satan Volte, if you lose the match you still get your character's ending. If you win (which I did), you play one more exhibition stage against "Testkun", who I guess is a stick figure character they hastily drew up to test the game engine? Wild.
