中之条町内に点在する浅間石は、過去に起こった浅間山噴火を今に伝える伝承碑である。また、浅間山の噴火にまつわる史実や言い伝え、それを伝える絵画作品を観ていると、残ることや伝わることについて興味がわいた。 浅間石に限らず、岩石を目の前にするととてつもなく大きな動きがあったというある種の緊張を感じる。そうした岩石が露出した箇所を撮影し、像の定着やその支持体、ひいては写真というメディアを再考しつつ、2作品を用いてインスタレーションを構成する。 The Asama stones scattered throughout Nakanojo Town are monuments that tell the story of Mount Asama’s past eruptions. While looking at the historical facts and lore surrounding the eruption of Mount Asama, and the paintings that convey them, I became interested in what remains and what is passed on. When I see rocks, not just Asama stones, I feel a certain tension, a sense that there has been a tremendous movement. I photographed the exposed rocks and created an installation using two works, reconsidering the fixation of the image, its support, and ultimately the medium of photography. 展示場所：大道公民館 Daido Community Center
