Andy Williams sings "Thea," a soft-rock tune by David Pomeranz, on his syndicated "Andy" musical-variety series in 1976. The song seemed intended for his new Columbia album at the time (also named "Andy"), with a studio recording of its opening bars played at the beginning of the segment before Andy takes over the vocals live. Ultimately, "Thea" did not make the album's final track list, although Pomeranz sang backup for one of the album's other tracks. In 1976, Pomeranz was still an emerging singer-songwriter who would later catapult to great success composing for records, films, television, and theatre. Two of his biggest compositions, "Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again" and "The Old Songs," became huge hits for Barry Manilow.
