St. Johns and DeWitt are two cities located in Clinton County, Michigan north of Lansing. In this edition of Michigan Off the Beaten Path, I first head up to St. Johns, the current county seat of Clinton County where I get to walk around the historic downtown center, walk by the Paine Gillam Scott House, admire the historic train cars at the Clinton Northern Railway Museum, and eat lunch at Ryan's Roadhouse. After exploring the sights of St. Johns, I head south to the city of DeWitt which used to be the county seat of Clinton County before it was moved to St. Johns.
