2023 Reading Journal Set Up Plan With me | Vintage Spooky Dark Academia Theme Bookshelf Vibes

Hello and welcome to my 2023 Reading Journal Plan With Me Video 💛 I was feeling really inspired by Danica of ‪@Danicainpages‬ and Dana of @magical_plans that I wanted to set up my 2023 Reading Journal with spooky, witchy, and dark academia vibes ✨ Anyway, I found a lot of inspiration on Pinterest. I do not draw things out of thin air, and I always need a reference. So everything you see in this video - from the illustrations to the hand lettering, is an amalgamation of spooky/witchy/dark academia inspiration i found on social media 🙈 My 2023 Reading Journal currently has four spreads: 🌻 Cover Page of course I cannot not have a cover page! For my 2023 Reading Journal cover page, I wanted to include something related to reading and I came across some really gorgeous gothic book shelves on Pinterest. I combined all of the bookish elements I could think of: books, skulls, candles, globes, glasses, etc and combined them into my own personal illustrated spooky/witchy/dark academia book shelf! I am pretty happy with how it turned out! 🌻 Quotes Page my bullet journal will never be complete without a quotes page, so of course I have to add one in my 2023 Reading Journal. I selected a quote from Edgar Allan Poe that is of course bookish. And wrote it in gothic lettering. This was inspired by one of the gothic lettering exemplars I came across Pinterest. 🌻 Reading Tracker I had a lot of fun with my 2022 Reading Tracker that I wanted to do the exact same layout again. So I have all of the days of the year written down and I will color them with in with a specific color I will be assigning to every book I read in 2023. 🌻 Reading Log very different from my 2022 Reading Log. I saw this photo of gothic vintage photo frames stuck to a wall and I thought I’d do that for my reading log. I drew different photo frames wherein I will draw, write or stick photos of the books I will read in 2023. Very excited to see how it all turns out next year These are all the Readin Journal spreads I have included so far 🙈 I honestly find it hard to keep up with my everyday bullet journal lol let alone another one, so I really wanted to keep things simple and just use reading journal spreads I feel are necessary.
