Older adults are our future selves. Life expectancy has increased over time and older adults have become significant technology and data consumers. Designing technological interfaces for older adults is challenging; there are specific issues that need to be addressed (e.g. technology adoption, enhancement of continuing technology use, etc.). Therefore, design can significantly affect the use of products by older adults. In this talk, Yasmin Felberbaum will talk about what makes older adults different, discuss design challenges and offer some examples from the research world as well as from the technology industry. Speaker Bio Yasmin Felberbaum is a PhD student and adjunct lecturer at the Information Systems Department at the University of Haifa. She specializes in Human-Computer-Interaction and assistive technologies for older adults. She is also an adjunct lecturer at the Division of Continuing Education at Technion.
