Determination, a headstrong attitude and UCee’s stubbornness against long outdated laws that still prohibit the consumption of Ganja in most European countries penetrate the song. He stands his ground against widespread social conventions and prejudices and thereby elaborates on his very own point of view. However, this is not just another Marihuana tune. “I Don’t Care” is a hymn that simply presumes the long overdue decriminalization of weed. Obstinately, the melodic chorus stays in the heads of even those who disagree with UCee, who is resolutely fighting for his rights and therefore utilizes the tune in a maximally broad manner. Next to the original version of the song on a Riddim from Rootz Radicals (Candy Kush Riddim) UCee’s new Album “Bridges” also features a remix by UCee’s friend and producer Djei Gogo of Flavor Production from Prague. But not only that, the song will also be part of a Riddim Sampler entitled Candy Kush Riddim, which UCee and Rootz Radicals will present to the public in the near future. After the release of Grounded by Rootz Radicals feat. Rebellion the Recaller, “I Don’t Care” is now already the second flagship of this Riddim selection. In the video to “I Don’t Care”, UCee shows himself with artists and producers who have supported him on the way to his album. Among others, DJ Vadim and Fyah Son Bantu appear in the video. Having majorly contributed to the development of the song, singer and head engineer of Rootz Radicals Uno Jahma is also mentioned in the lyrics. “I Don’t Care” is an understandable and powerful plea for the consumption of Ganja. The Candy Kush version, which is equivalent to the video edit, as well as the Flavor Production Remix both invite us to get high in this summer of 2019 keeping in mind UCee’s catchy chorus „I don't care what the people are gonna say“.
