I really love these speakers, tested them with several amps and they sound better for me with more powerful ones, even on lower volumes. Yes, I know, they are still not placed in best position in the room, working on that, need to upgrade the furniture. Dirac is still not done yet. Power Amplifier - Bryston 3B SST2 PRO. Speakers - Wharfedale Dovedale Anniversary Edition. Cables - Furutech FA-AS22 XLR, Furutech S14 speaker cables. But to be honest, it sounds just great directly connecting Icon to Bryston via XLR and it is extremely comfortable to use with Icon remote for family when you add 12V triggering, so still not sure if I will buy proper preamp.
