No worries! I’m going to show how to breathe easy with the ultimate guide to improving air quality at home! I was terrified when I realized my home was toxic. I bought an indoor air quality tester for my shop to let me know when I needed to be wearing a mask. Just for fun, I brought it inside. Everything was good except for my formaldehyde levels. I’ve been breathing this air for years and I actually have some symptoms of higher than normal levels for formaldehyde. I have a dry cough, burning eyes and throat irritation. My wife had symptoms as well. I knew I had to do something to improve my indoor air quality. I started out by opening windows, which was not a good long term solution. Then I did a check up on my air exchanger to make sure it was working properly. Next I tried a carbon filter in my HVAC system. I didn’t really have much luck. Then I discovered the Dyson formaldehyde air purifier. This air purifier uses a special material in the filter element that breaks down formaldehyde at a molecular level. They are expensive, but they work. Right now I have one in my master bedroom. Next I’ll add one to my office, where I spend most of my time.
