Oil Slick Leap offers a good contrast to the first dive site we profiled. Many of the northern dive sites have elevated rocky edges and the reefs are much closer whereas the southern sites often have a considerable amount of sand and surface swim to get to the reef. We love this site because of all the unique animals we spotted. This was the site where we saw our first black brotula, west Indian fighting conch and batwing coral crab. We also got to see a trio of juvenile spotted drums as well as a number of juvenile spotted trunkfish. Then there was the baby octopus at night. Sooo many good things to see here…and we can prove it!
