Instant dal fry recipe (For hostel / PG students) How about having a good home cooked meal while living in a hostel or struggling to make your everyday meal as a bachelor. This dal premix literally needs some hot water and nothing else. And also, you can store this upto 3-4 months. Let’s see the recipe. Ingredients 1 cup Arhar dal 1/2 cup Masoor dal 1 tsp ghee 1 tsp oil 1 tsp cumin seeds 4 dry red chillies 2 garlic cloves 1/2 inch ginger 1 sprig curry leaves 1/4 tsp hing 1/2 tsp amchur powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder Salt to taste 1 tsp dried coriander leaves or 1 tsp kasturi methi (Optional) Method 1. Wash dal 2-3 times and air dry for 1 day. Now roast for 10-15 mins on low flame and add it to a grinding jar and grind well. 2. Now in a pan, add ghee, cumin seeds, dry red chillies, garlic, ginger, curry leaves, roast until garlic and ginger turns brown. Now lower the flame and add hing, amchur powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder. 3. Add dal mix to the pan and roast for another 3-4 minutes. 4. Add salt and dry coriander leaves or kasturi methi. 5. Once it cools down, add it to a glass jar and store. 6. Whenever you want to make it, boil some water, add 2-3 tsp dal mix, once it thickens a bit, add fresh coriander leaves and that’s it :) #dal #premix #recipe #trending #bachelor #students
