Aselsan, one of Turkey's leading defence industry companies, is showing a remarkable rise in the Latin American market. Making a name for itself with the innovative products it offers in countries such as Uruguay, Argentina and Chile, Aselsan is expanding its export activities with solutions that strengthen military capabilities in the region. In Uruguay, Aselsan entered the market with 9600 series frequency hopping radios, internal communication systems and personal tactical radios. These products increase the coordination of troops in field operations by providing secure and uninterrupted communication. In addition, ACAR ground surveillance radars offer advanced target detection and tracking capabilities to Uruguayan security forces, reinforcing Aselsan's presence in Latin America. The Argentine Army, on the other hand, has commissioned Aselsan's ACAR-K Ground Surveillance Radar version and anti-drone drone interception system. ACAR K is a surveillance radar that stands out with its ability to detect, track and classify targets moving on land in all weather conditions day and night. This system, which can also be used in tasks such as artillery fire regulation, was preferred by the Argentine Armed Forces for operational needs such as border security and sensitive area protection.
