2014 Hyundai Tucson 2.0L. MIL Flashing, Loss Of Power Code P1326

This 2014 Tucson came in with a complaint of the MIL Flashing and reduced engine power. Scanning revealed P1326 Knock Sensor activity. Initially I could not even find a mention of P1326 in Identifix but a search of Google found this:    • P1326 In Hyundai/Kia vehicles, Cause ...   It appears that Hyundai has a problem with engine failures caused by excessive rod bearing clearance which can result in a catastrophic engine failure which could lead to a fire when a connecting rod comes through the side of the block. This car was recalled and reprogrammed in November 21 to add the Knock detection capability to the ECM. There does not appear to be any engine noise and the vehicle is well maintained. I did find a TSB claiming aftermarket oil filters could be causing this so installed an OE filter. If the problem returns I will send the car to the dealership for possible warranty.
