The Somers Village Board has voted not to renew the Somers House liquor license. Neighbors say the bar is noisy and that patrons leave beer cans on their lawns. Kenosha Unified is moving ahead with plans to build new sports facilities at Bradford, Tremper and Indian Trail. The district has hired an architect and a construction firm. The next step is to work on the designs with input from coaches, parents and principals. At Bong Recreation Area, Wolf Lake is slowly refilling even though the dam is not yet finished. The lake drained two years ago after a storm damaged the dam. The lake is refilling so slowly that people might not be able to swim there this summer.
