This Video was recorded doing the annual European TWI Conference in June 2013 in Billund, Denmark. Session Abstract: Building a strong and professional training organization requires the right trainer abilities and talents - but how can you recognize these talents in your organization? What is more, how can you do that effectively and consistently in a global manufacturing network? This presentation will focus on how The LEGO Group has build up a sustainable global network of job trainers based on "the more we share the more we get" mindset, ensuring a strong local sponsorship and support. Moreover, having a proven method of training that can be standardized across cultures is essential. The LEGO Group found that method with TWI Job Instruction. In this session you will learn about how The LEGO Group has set up a trainer selection process and how we motivate job trainers, as well as the workforce, by means of effective coaching and clear career paths for trainers. We will explain how we created a training organization centered around each functional area in The LEGO Groups value chain, supported by development activities building on TWI principles. This program has been implemented at The LEGO Groups manufacturing sites in Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic and Mexico. Learning Points: In this session you will learn about the LEGO way of linking HR, Lean, and the business in creating a strong global training organization that develops, implements, and anchors standardized work. How TWI Job Instruction forms the core methodology of how we will maintain global work standards that cut across cultures and languages. How to set up a selection process identifying trainers abilities and talents. How to support TWI with additional pedagogical and psychological development activities enhancing job trainers' knowledge and skills Presenters: Vinnie Kuld Forman, HR Manager, The LEGO Group Marcus Jøhnck Bendt Haure, Learning Center Consultant, The LEGO Group Learn more on www.btp.dk/eng
