🎥📼 VHS Archive Release – “Bands” (Part 1) The next tape in our digitisation project is simply titled “Bands”—but it’s a real gem. Recorded at the Apprentice Boys of Derry parade in Londonderry, with the exact year unknown but most likely mid-1980s. This footage is being released in three parts, starting here with Part 1, and features several well-known bands, including: 🥁 Downshire Guiding Star – 5:20 🥁 Sharpshooters – 21:30 🥁 Armagh True Blues – 26:10 ⭐️ Of particular importance to us, Cookstown Sons of William (USA visit) appear at 30:00, wearing the short-lived and infamous blue uniform. Still doesn’t look right though — Sons of William are ORANGE! An outstanding snapshot of band history, preserved from VHS and shared for future generations. More to follow in Parts 2 and 3. 📀✨
