I have never made a fudge cookie before, and was pleasantly surprised with the ingredients used in this cookie :) 2-1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk 3 T. unsalted butter 2 c. all purpose flour 1/2 t. baking soda 1 t. vanilla extract 1/2 c. chopped nuts (your choice) In medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk and butter. Cook over low heat, stirring, until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Divide dough into thirds. Shape each into an 8 inch log. Wrap in plastic wrap and child until firm, two hours minimum. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut chilled logs into 1/4 inch slices and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bak for 7-9 min until tops are slightly crusted. Cool 2-3 minutes before removing from baking sheets. Pack in tightly covered containers. Yield: 30-36 cookies. I'm working on a website!
