2022 Police involved shooting death of Patrick Lyoya in Michigan: Official city statement

Patrick Lyoya, 26, was shot and killed by Grand Rapids Police Department Officer Christopher Schurr in April of 2022. Lyoya was pulled over by Schurr for a license plate violation. The two got into an altercation that resulted in Lyoya being shot in the back of the head and killed.
