Vitrectomy for Retinal Detachment using 20K Hypervit Cutter | Retinal Detachment | Dr Manish Nagpal This is a case of PDR and TRD with proliferations for which vitrectomy is being done. We are using the newly introduced 20000cpm cutter , hypervit cutter. This has a bevelled tip closer to the shaft and has a always open port cutting at 20k cpm. This high speed cutter ensures excellent cutting especially close to mobile retina with the least amount of turbulence and safety. The always open port maintains a high flow rate , thus not compromising on the speed of vitrectomy and infact increasing the speed of overall vitreous clearing. The proliferations are gradually trimmed over the disc . The bevel tip allows the cutter to get extremely close to the retina while eating away the proliferations without disturbing the underlying retina.
