Buy your favourite Cookd Recipes in a Box ! 👉https://shop.cookdtv.com/ Handi Paneer Recipe: Paneer (triangle cut) - 200 grams To Fry & Grind Oil - For Shallow-Frying Onion (thinly sliced) - 1 ½ Cups Cashew - 10 nos Curd - ¼ Cup Other Ingredients: Oil - 4 tbsp Mace - 1 no Green Cardamom - 2 nos Bay Leaves - 2 nos Clove - 4 nos Cumin - ½ tsp Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tsp Coriander Powder - 1 tsp Cumin Powder - ½ tsp Fresh Tomato Puree - ½ Cup (from 2 tomatoes) Salt - 1 tsp Water - 1 Cup Kasuri Methi - 1 tsp Ghee - 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder - ½ tsp Green Chilli (sliced) - 2 nos Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) - 3 tbsp Cooking Instructions: 1. Heat oil in a kadai over medium heat and add the onion and fry until golden brown, stirring regularly. 2. Remove onto a plate lined with tissue paper. 3. In the same oil, fry cashew on low heat until the colour starts to change and remove it from the oil and set aside. 4. Grind the fried onion, cashew and curd together into a fine paste and set it aside. 5. Heat oil in a Handi/earthen pot and add all the whole spices and stir until aromatic. 6. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes on medium heat. 7. Add turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder and cumin powder and mix for a minute. 8. Add the tomato puree and salt and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 9. Add the onion paste, stir for 2 minutes. 10. Add water, cover and cook for 5 minutes on low heat. 11. Add Kasuri methi, ghee, garam masala powder, green chilli and coriander leaves, mix it and then add the paneer. 12. Turn off the heat as soon as it comes to a simmer and serve with roti/any Indian bread. Cooking Tip: This dish is traditionally prepared in an earthen pot, but you can also use any other pot as well.
