This is a video of trains arriving and departing one after another at Kyoto Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line in Japan (weekday evening rush hour, from 16:00 to 18:30). The video shows all Hankyu trains, including limited express, semi-express, semi-express, and local (local) trains, including the Private Base. Limited express and semi-express trains also ran with trains that were coupled with the Private Base seat reservation service, which began in July 2024. The fourth car (car 4) from the Osaka Umeda side was a reserved seat/Private Base car, and the photos were taken mainly around car 4. Many 9300 series trains incorporate one Private Base 2300 series car, but there were also trains that were all new 2300 series. One semi-express bound for Kyoto Kawaramachi, coupled with the Private Base, is also shown, departing from Ibaraki City. An electronic display board showing the availability of seats on the Private Base was also installed near the boarding gate of the platform. Privatebase also took several photos of the seats automatically rotating. The photos were taken from the end of the express train hours to the time when the evening semi-express trains are running. On a weekday evening, local trains bound for Tengachaya can also be seen. This is the terminal station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line, with a single island platform and three tracks. Facing Osaka Umeda from the terminal side, Line 1 is on the right, Line 3 is on the left, and the long platform on the Osaka Umeda side and the cut-out platform on the left is Line 2. The Osaka Umeda side of the Line 1 platform and the Line 2 platform are next to each other on the same side, but the stops on Line 1 and the eight cars on the terminal side do not overlap with Line 2. Line 2 is only used for some semi-express and local trains during the morning rush hour, and the "Kyoto Train Miyako" that runs during the daytime on holidays. For this reason, at the time of the photo (in the evening), a fence had been installed near the end of Line 2, preventing entry to all of the Line 2 platform and the section extending towards Osaka Umeda, excluding the Line 1 platform for eight cars. In addition, after express and semi-express trains arrive at Line 1, the doors are closed for some time to organize the interior of the cars, at which time the seats in express cars (cross-seat cars) are automatically turned around. Two photos were taken of the automatic seat turning. At Private Base, the seats rotate automatically. 00:00 Priv Base 1 00:24 Priv Base 2 (2300 series) 01:49 Priv Base 3 02:34 Automatic seat rotation 1 (Priv Base) 03:41 Priv Base 4 04:26 Automatic seat rotation 2 (Priv Base) 05:33 Priv Base 5 06:12 Seat availability 06:56 Priv Base 5 (Ibaraki City departure, return) 08:09 Priv Base 6 (2300 series) 08:55 Automatic seat rotation 3 (Priv Base) 10:03 Priv Base 7 10:41 Automatic seat rotation 4 (Priv Base) 12:04 Automatic seat rotation 5 (Priv Base) 12:20 Scenes of each train departing and arriving in order of photo 15:37 Automatic seat rotation 6 (Priv Base) 22:29 PiTaPa head mark (arrival) 23:18 Automatic seat change 1 23:57 Local train bound for Tennoji-ya 1 (arrival) 24:43 PiTaPa headmark (departure) 44:46 Automatic seat change 2 47:10 Local train bound for Tennoji-ya 2 47:40 All trains 48:15 Entrance to Line 2 52:45 Curtain change (5300 series) 53:22 All trains
