You must visit Mostar to believe it; it's not just the famous Old Bridge (Stari Most), picturesque Old Town, rich history, or diverse culture that make it a must-see Balkan destination.The striking Old Bridge (Stari Most) is Mostar's most notable landmark and is regarded as the city's beating heart. It links the two sides of the city and crosses the Neretva River. This Ottoman-style bridge, which was first constructed in the 16th century, was completely destroyed in 1993 during the Bosnian war. The Old Bridge was fully restored in 2004, and since 2005, it has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
