For decades, MotoGP™ riders from around the world have made one Phillip Island restaurant their home-away-from-home during the annual Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Pino’s Trattoria, an Italian restaurant in the heart of Cowes, is renowned for its authentic food and warm atmosphere. But the magic of Pino’s lies with owner, Rosa Scarlato, who started the restaurant with her late husband and the restaurant’s namesake, Pino, in 1991. Since opening, Pino’s has become a staple among locals, as well as a mainstay of the MotoGP™ calendar. Memorabilia lines the walls, including Australia’s own Jack Miller who traded his race suit for a table on a busy night – one of many tactics used by riders and fans alike over the years to score a seat at Rosa’s place. In honour of her contribution to the Phillip Island community and to her place as a beloved member of the MotoGP™ world, Rosa has been named as the number-one ticketholder for this year’s event.
